The weekend after Labor Day,
September 5-6-7, 2008,
in Brattleboro,
a festival in southern Vermont
was devoted to two film genres,
samurai (warrior) films, and kaiju (‘mysterious beast’ ) films with related activities for all ages.
The festival extends to two other venues in southern Vermont. The anime
Samurai 7 is scheduled for showings Tuesday and Wednesday evening, September 9 and 10, 7pm, at Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction and Saturday afternoon Sept. 13, 3:30pm, at Al Ducci's Cafe in Manchester Depot (VT).
Leading up to the Festival weekend were many activities during July and August
